Kevin Dillon is a passionate advocate for the rights of consumers. He joined Consumer Litigation Associates in 2018 to continue to protect these important rights. Kevin focuses his practice in consumer protection, using both federal and state law to advance the rights of consumers. His cases involve the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Truth in Lending Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and Virginia Consumer Protection Act, among others. He also oversees the administration of some of the firm’s class settlements.
In law school, Kevin researched the abusive debt collection practices of debt buyers in the Boston area. He also served as a member of Law Review and was a founding member of the Law and Information Society as well as a member of the National Lawyers Guild. Kevin clerked under the Honorable Justice Cleo E. Powell of the Virginia Supreme Court as well as at Southeast Louisiana Legal Services, where he helped expunge criminal records of youth living in public housing. He also clerked at two plaintiff-side employment law firms, where he worked on a variety of cases from civil rights violations to unemployment hearings.
Prior to law school, Kevin built a successful career as a data systems consultant. He further served two years as an Americorps volunteer, one of which was spent volunteering in New Orleans to assist with recovery after Hurricane Katrina. He also worked as a community and union organizer, advocating for the rights of workers.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoys glass flame-working and welding, gardening, as well as spending time in the outdoors.
